Property Description

Vignenoules nestles into a Quercy Blanc hillside in a private elevated setting with panoramic views over valley, woods and fields. Originally a farmhouse, it has been carefully restored to a good standard yet retaining many charming original features. The three individual terraces ensure that you can enjoy sunshine or shade at any time of the day, the pool area in particular has beautiful views over the rural landscape. A relaxing and peaceful setting yet within easy drive of the historic town of Cahors with its renowned vineyards and the fascinating medieval city of Rocamadour. Visit Padirac with its spectacular grotto and underground boat trips.

  2. The holiday got off to a great start. Ann Marie the owner met us as we arrived and had prepared an evening meal together with food stocks in the house for breakfast the next day. Our party comprised myself and wife, 2 daughters both with husbands and one with our 2 Grandchildren. The accommodation was such that we were all able to live together but with had our own space. The house was spotlessly clean and the owner attended 3 times during the week we were there to keep it so. The gardens were a particular delight with an excellent swimming pool with an alarm, and the whole area was perfectly safe for our 2 very young Grandchildren. The location of the house was excellent being on a country track with absolutely no traffic but only a few minutes drive of a good size town with good facilities and a medium size supermarket close by. All in all we had a great time even though the weather was a bit of a disappointment. Getting to the house was not a problem as the French roads are very good. An easy 8 hours from St Malo allowing for 2 or 3 stops en-route. Our sincere thanks to Ann Marie for a good holiday and also to your company for organising the event. We shall definitely use you again for 2013. July 2012.
