The Helford river is popular for sailing and water sports, or head towards Gweek with its seal sanctuary, a most enchanting experience. Just a few minutes’ drive leads to Maenporth beach with its white sands and delightful beach café. Other attractions nearby include Falmouth with its marina, National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle, and the cathedral city of Truro which offers a theatre, cinema, shops, bars and restaurants.
